Directions

  1. Cut an 18’’ piece of beading thread. Condition it with thread wax to help prevent any potential tangling, if desired. Put the beading needle on the end.

  2. Slide on six silk green Superduos. Tie a double knot with both ends of the thread, so that the beads form a circle, with one end of the thread being only a few inches and the other end being longer. Put a dab of glue on the knot if desired, for extra security.

  3. Put the needle on the shorter end of the thread, and weave it through each of the beads again. Cut the excess with the nipper.

  4. Move the needle back to the longer end of the thread and weave it through the top hole of the Superduo it is closest to. You will be moving in the opposite direction now. Slide on two turquoise Superduos, then string through the next silk green bead (top hole). Continue through the round, then repeat through one more silk green bead and one or two more turquoise beads.

  5. Weave the thread through the top hole of the last turquoise Superduo. String on one silk green Superduo, then go through the top hole of the next turquoise Superduo. Continue through the round, then repeat through one more turquoise bead and one or two more silk green beads.

  6. Bring the thread through the top hole of the last Superduo. Slide on a crystal bicone and go through the top hole of the next Superduo. Continue through the round. After all of the bicones are on, slide on five crystal seed beads and the closed jump ring.  Skip going through the next Superduo, and continue through the next bicone and the rest of the round a second time. Tying one or two double knots throughout the round also helps with security, as well as a couple dabs of glue.

  7. Cut a 22’’ piece of stringing wire. Attach the clasp to the wire, using a crimp tube and the crimper tool. Leave about a 1/2 inch of wire for overlap, for the first couple beads to go over.

  8. String on fifteen crystal seed beads and one turquoise e-bead. Repeat seven times (or more for a longer necklace). Slide on the Superduo pendant, then continue stringing on seed beads and e-beads until the necklace in symmetrical.

  9. Attach the split ring to the end with the second crimp tube. String the remaining wire through a few of the last beads before crimping. Trim the excess wire with the nipper.

The finished necklace is approximately 17".
