Directions

  1. Remove the tiles from the board. We will be using four tiles for this project; you can save the other five for another project.
  2. Cut the "Holiday Hearts" paper to size and glue it to the board, using Mod Podge.
  3. To create a pocket, cut the "Holly Days" paper to 5" x 12" and score at 1/2" from each end along the 5" side. Fold both 1/2" flaps in but don't glue yet. This is the pocket front.
  4. Cut "Holly Days" paper to 4" x 1-1/2" and score at 1/2", 3/4", and 1" on the 1-1/2 side. Fold on score line creating a valley and peak. This will be the sides of the pocket.
  5. Attach one 1/2" flap from the sides (step 4) to one end of pocket front (step 3) making sure it is glued between the score line.
  6. Repeat Step 4-5 to create the same for other end of the pocket.
  7. Glue the top 1/2" flap of the pocket front down over the side piece flaps that was glued down.
  8. The bottom 1/2" flap of the pocket front should be wrapped over the entire side piece and secure it with a dab of Mod Podge.
  9. Mod Podge the pocket front bottom flap to the bottom of the board.
  10. Mod Podge the both side piece flaps to the board. With this, the pocket is complete.
  11. To create a belt, cut a 1" width strip from black cardstock and Mod Podge horizontally in the middle of the pocket.
  12. To create a buckle, cut yellow cardstock to 4-1/2" x 2-1/2". Cut a rectangle out of the center leaving 3/4" all around.
  13. Mod Podge the yellow buckle in the center of the black belt.
  14. Attach photos onto three tiles, For the two outside photos, use "Ladybug dot-grid" paper as a photo mat leaving the outside edge showing. For the photo used in the center, do not use a photo mat.
  15. Cut the Ladybug dot-grid paper to 4" x 4" and Mod Podge it to the fourth tile. Glue the center photo tile onto this ladybug tile in a diamond shape so that the corners of the bottom tile show.
  16. Glue all three tiles onto the board using E6000. See picture for reference.
  17. Decorate the board and tiles using the Sticker sheet from the collection.
  18.  Use washi tape to cover the front frame. Cover the edges of the frame sides with 1/4" x 12" strips from the "Holly Days" paper.
  19. Create some folders using leftover scrap paper. These can be used to hold photos inside the pocket.
  20. Display.
