WAREHOUSE/HOUSEKEEPING APPLICANTS MUST BE:
- at least 18 years of age for receiving/housekeeping positions
- available approximately 10-20 hours per week with the possibility of additional hours as needed
- available to work evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays
- available to work throughout the summer, fall and 2010 holiday season
- available to work additional hours and additional weekends September through December
JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR WAREHOUSE/HOUSEKEEPING POSITIONS
- Unload trucks
- Move merchandise, fixtures and supplies between stockroom and sales floor
- Check in merchandise from packing slips
- Enter merchandise information into computer system
- Use computer system to locate and place merchandise in stockroom
- Assemble merchandise, shelving, and fixtures
- Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, sidewalks, parking lot
- Empty waste receptacles
- Sweep, vacuum, shovel snow
- Load merchandise in customers’ vehicles
- Become familiar with merchandise and specific departments within the store
- Assist team members on sales floor when necessary
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR WAREHOUSE/HOUSEKEEPING POSITIONS
- Basic computer and math skills
- Read packing slips and identify merchandise listed
- Read and identify item numbers quickly and accurately
- Familiar with hand tools
- Climb ladders and use power lift equipment
- Become forklift certified
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR WAREHOUSE/HOUSEKEEPING POSITIONS
- Standing for long periods of time, frequent walking
- Climbing ladders, using lift equipment
- Bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, kneeling
- Repetitive motions with hands and arms
- Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 75 lbs. frequently
