WAREHOUSE/HOUSEKEEPING APPLICANTS MUST BE:

  • at least 18 years of age for receiving/housekeeping positions
  • available approximately 10-20 hours per week with the possibility of additional hours as needed 
  • available to work evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays
  • available to work throughout the summer, fall and 2010 holiday season
  • available to work additional hours and additional weekends September through December

JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR WAREHOUSE/HOUSEKEEPING POSITIONS

  • Unload trucks
  • Move merchandise, fixtures and supplies between stockroom and sales floor
  • Check in merchandise from packing slips
  • Enter merchandise information into computer system
  • Use computer system to locate and place merchandise in stockroom
  • Assemble merchandise, shelving, and fixtures
  • Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, sidewalks, parking lot
  • Empty waste receptacles
  • Sweep, vacuum, shovel snow
  • Load merchandise in customers’ vehicles
  • Become familiar with merchandise and specific departments within the store
  • Assist team members on sales floor when necessary

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR WAREHOUSE/HOUSEKEEPING POSITIONS

  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Read packing slips and identify merchandise listed
  • Read and identify item numbers quickly and accurately
  • Familiar with hand tools
  • Climb ladders and use power lift equipment
  • Become forklift certified

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR WAREHOUSE/HOUSEKEEPING POSITIONS

    • Standing for long periods of time, frequent walking
    • Climbing ladders, using lift equipment
    • Bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, kneeling
    • Repetitive motions with hands and arms
    • Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 75 lbs. frequently
